For Cesar Chavez Day Marcos Mouet of Rancho’s Vegan Market and Rancho’s Mexican and Vegetarian Restaurants in San Diego recalls serving Chavez in a San Diego restaurant in the 1980s. Chavez refused cheese, eggs, and honey, because he was VEGAN.
