Reggae is Cool! Vegan is Cool! Put them together, and it becomes the hottest high-vibration happening ever, a celebration of life, love, health, harmony, peace, and planet. At LA REGGAE VEGAN FEST, “One Love” includes the animals, and so, of course, they are not on the menu. “One Love – All Species!”

LA REGGAE VEGAN FEST is presented and organized by 501(c)3 non-profit Go Vegan Radio and Bob Linden, producer of the first-ever mainstream media Vegan talk show, “Go Vegan Radio with Bob Linden” which debuted in 2001, and has since been heard on the Air America radio network, GCN network, and CBS and Clear Channel radio stations across the country (www.GoVeganRadio.com). Linden was the original organizer of WorldFest-LA in 2000 (now VegFest). Go Vegan Radio has also produced the World Vegan Summit & Expo, PlanetFest in Orange County, CommunityFest in Woodland Hills, and San Diego FallFest.

Go Vegan Radio recently launched RadioBobby, a 24/7 music radio station that is the official radio station of LA REGGAE VEGAN FEST (www.RadioBobby.com).

Linden is a veteran broadcaster who served as Program Director of music stations across the US, including Jazzy-100 Washington DC, CD-101 New York, Love-94 Miami, KIFM San Diego, The Sound – Seattle, and others. He will be a speaker and emcee at LA REGGAE VEGAN FEST. Other speakers include Anteneh Roba, M.D., from Ethiopia, president of the International Fund for Africa, Professor Gary Francione of Rutgers University, the first academic to teach animal rights theory in an American law school, Armaiti May, DVM, spearheading an effort to feed Vegan dog food in LA shelters, Eric Weisman, founder of Evolution Vegan dog & cat food, Anuj Shah, PhD from “Speaking of Vegan”, ahimsa-activist Dolly Vyas-Ahuja, award-winning poet Abioseh, “Dub Poet of the Year” nominee Ras Takura, and radio personality Junor Francis.

“Reggae and Vegan are a perfect match”, Linden said. “There is a higher consciousness in both, and together will create the highest-possible good-feeling, positive vibrations. You could say Vegan is vital to ital and enlivens livity. Many of reggae’s greatest artists are outspoken Vegans. Look at Macka B’s “Medical Mondays” and Wha Me Eat Wednesdays” on YouTube, or his song “Too Much Chicken” heard frequently on RadioBobby, or Bushman’s fantastic song “Fire Pon a Deadas”, for examples.

“After the last World Vegan Summit & Expo where Lamour & the Mystik Band performed, the idea for a reggae Vegan festival occurred to me. I called Evans Lamour, and he loved the idea so much, he got working on it immediately, and is very instrumental in making it happen. I got working on finding a venue, and Woodley Park in Van Nuys emerged the winner – again – as it was 18 years ago when we organized the first WorldFest. Now we are coming home with something new and different that feels like the next big thing. Everybody is so excited!”
